at least Seven hundred and fifty applications have been

received, from the Saca in lots of Two hundred and fifty

per Port.

8. In the event of the colonist refusing, omitting or

neglecting to proceed to the Port of embarkation and

arrive there seven days prior to the departure of the

steamer the original deposit paid in respect of his

application shall be forfeited to Compania Internacional

de Colonizacion as liquidated da ages and the balance

refunded.

9. It is hereby understood and agreed that every colon-

ist shall be absolutely free from any restriction whatsoever

on arrival in Paraguay and shall be under no obligation what-

soever to accept employment offered to him by Compania

Internacional de Colonizacion or any other person.

10. In the e vent however of the colonist desiring to

obtain employment in Paraguay with Compania internacional

de Colonizacion, Compania Internacional de Colonizacion

hereby undertakes to employ the colonist under the following

conditions:-

(a) The colonist shall apply to the Compania

Internacional de Colonizacion for employment

on the approved form.

(b) The colonist shall agree to work subject to

such reasonable terms and conditions as

Compania Internacional de Colonizacion may

impose for a period of at least one crop year

or for a longer period if the colonist so

desires.

(c) The remuneration for such employment shall

consist of:-

(1) A salary of Hong Kong Dollars Fifty per

month payable as to Hong Kong Dollars

Twenty in cash on or before the Tenth day
